Our Internet Business – Unique Virtual Walks

In June 1999, Kathi and I took a Globus tour of Italy – their "Italian Mosaic." Before leaving for the trip, I borrowed a Steadicam son of a friend in Los Angeles who is a film editor. I wanted to use with my home video camera to shoot movies in better quality, while in this house once in a lifetime "trip. The Steadicam Jr holding the camera and completely eliminates any shaking. The of 21 days (with two extensions) trip was absolutely wonderful! The group of about 25 people on the tour mesh well and the food, landscape, art, were fantastic. I shot hours of video, some of them when in reality the streets of Rome, Florence, Venice and Naples. The Steadicam Jr produced smooth shots that seemed to "float". And in Venice, I proposed to Kathi at sunset in a gondola on the Grand Canal. We purhased our Florence.Returning wedding rings gold market in the U.S., I saw the video shot with the Steadicam and quickly realized that would be great to see while walking in our routine. A few tests confirmed my idea – the "virtual march", could give the impression that was made to "walk" through the streets of these beautiful cities in Europe and could make the time spent on the treadmill to move quickly. Having recently retired after a career in television production education, and just celebrated our marriage, I propose another idea for my new wife: We would like to form a television production company that the purchase of professional and the film "Treadmill Virtual Tours" of European cities. Then sell these virtual tours online. Kathi immediately agreed and we started working with details. We have formed a society, research on the purchased equipment, and rights of the music accompaniment tailored to these walks. Besides "virtual tours", which pushes us with Steadicam material, also decided to take a tripod and make the more traditional travel video. We plan on editing this movie in our "Armchair Travel Videos" which, accompanied by classical music, we want to sell online. Our goal was returning from a meeting 2 weeks in a European city, with two completely different sequences, which could be released in two quite distinct types of travel videos. Come to Venice on our first meeting "professional in April 2001. We stayed at the Hotel Marconi in the Rialto Bridge and Grand Canal. We had a great time and worked hard. Wake up and down the street at 7 am every morning, became a tape while walking the streets were empty, and then returned to the hotel for breakfast. After lunch, we returned to the streets for more shooting. We shot most days until late at night. Venice is absolutely incredible ! If you've never been in Venice, has to go. it.Returning never regret home after 10 long days of filming in Venice, we rested for a month. In June we went for 2 weeks of filming in London. I promised Kathi who do not work so hard in London, which on rainy days would be "days off" for us. It has not rained one day while we were in London. We filmed virtual walk in Hyde Park, along the canal in Little Venice in Hampstead Heath, among others. After two weeks of shooting, had been exhausted. We took the plane and flew directly to Rome for two weeks running! And it has not rained one day in Rome! We filmed virtual walks along the Via Veneto, the Via Appia, near Rome, and a stroll through the gardens of Pincio. After a month of filming, we returned to the United States pledging not to commit again a grueling schedule. Shortly after our return from Rome I received a call from my editor friend in Los Angeles. He was editing Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen feature "When In Rome" and needed some night scenes of Rome. Was I the night scenes where you could buy? Weeks later, have not acquired a number of my night scenes and used in the movie. And that's how we got in the sale of stock footage of Rome, Venice and London for television and housing production. In October 2003, we returned to the
